Where is the Language Bar?
In most cases, the Language Bar automatically displays on your desktop or in the Windows taskbar when you enable two or more keybord layouts in the Windows operating system. You will not be able to see the Language Bar if it is hidden or only one keyboard layout is enabled in the Windows operating system. If you don't see the Language Bar, do the following:

Check to see if the Language Bar is Hidden
In Windows Vista

Click the Start button, then click Control Panel.
Under Clock, Language, and Regional Options, click Change Display Language.
Note In Classic view, double-click Regional and Language Options, and then click the Keyboards and Languages tab.

On the Regional and Language Options dialog box, click the Keyboard and Languages tab, then click Change Keyboards.
On the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box, click the Language Bar tab.
In the Language Bar section, check if the Hidden option is selected. If it is, select either Floating on Desktop or Docked in the taskbar. If Floating on Desktop or Docked in the taskbar is already selected, see Enable a keyboard layout.
In Windows XP

Click Start, click Control Panel.
Click Date, Time, Language, and Region, and then click Add other languages.
Note In Classic view, double-click Regional and Language Options.

On the Regional and Language Options dialog box, click the Languages tab, then click Details.
On the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box, click Language Bar.
On the Language Bar Settings dialog box, check if the Show the Language bar on the desktop is selected. If the option is not selected, select it and click OK. The Language bar should show on the desktop. If the option is already selected, click Cancel and see Enable a keyboard layout.
