Police investigate report of laser pointed at Seattle-bound plane

(CNN) -- A laser was reportedly pointed at an airplane bound for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Sunday night, a Port of Seattle spokeswoman told CNN.
The plane landed without incident, spokeswoman Charla Skaggs said.
The incident is the latest in a series of reports of lasers pointing at jetliners landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Pilots from at least 12 jetliners have reported that someone shone a green laser light into their cockpits while landing, bringing renewed attention to a problem that has plagued pilots since the introduction of cheap laser pointers years ago.
Skaggs would not release any additional information about which airline was involved, who saw the laser or what color the laser was.
„All I can say is that the Port of Seattle Police Department is investigating the incident that happened at 9 p.m. local” time, Skaggs said.
